MONTBLANC VIRGINIA WOOLF 3 PIECE SET

The Monblanc 2006 limited edition Writer’s Series is named after the famous British novelist, Virginia Woolf (1882-1942). Recognized in her own time and country as a leader in the Modernist literary movement, Woolf regained eminence in the 1970’s when her essay, A Room of One’s Own (1929), became a mainstay of feminist criticism. Her other works, among them Mrs. Dalloway (1925), To the Lighthouse (1927) and Orlando (1928), are evidence of her status as a major lyrical voice of the English language that continues to influence writers today. The 2006 Writers Edition fountain pen is a medium-sized piston-filler with gold-plated fittings. The black resin barrel has a sculpted shape and is textured with a fine wave-like guilloche – a subtle reference to Woolf’s 1931 novel The Waves. The curved clip is set with a ruby gemstone. The 18K gold nib is specially designed to echo Woolf’s modernist, elegant style. The three-piece collector’s set includes the fountain pen, a ballpoint pen and 0.7mm pencil. Each Virginia Woolf is packaged in a book-shaped presentation box.
