OMAS 2008 SPECIAL EDITION DOCTORS FOUNTAIN PEN
OMAS presents the new 2010 Limited Edition Doctor’s Pen. Only 158 pieces will be available worldwide, commemorating the 50th anniversary of Armondo Simoni’s death in 1958. OMAS has recreated this original 1927 design, patented by Simoni and known as the Doctor's Pen for the clinical thermometer it housed inside the barrel. The 2010 model eliminates the thermometer but retains the unusual flattened shape which is actually very comfortable and balanced when writing. The 2010 Doctor's Pen is crafted in blue/black cotton resin with a sterling silver body engraved in an Art Nouveau design featuring the staff of Aesculapius. The enameling technique dates back to the 17th century when it was originally developed by Faberge for the famous Faberge eggs. The 18K gold nib is inscribed like the 1927 original with an “S” for Simoni. Fountain pen is bottle fill only.
