Dupont Limited Edition Shoot The Moon Prestige Line 2 Lighter
S.T. Dupont pays tribute to the French author, Jules Verne, and his 1865 novel, From the Earth to the Moon, with this exceptional new Prestige limited edition, Shoot The Moon. Jules Verne imagined an extraordinary adventure: at the end of the Civil War, the gun club of Baltimore attempts to send a manned shuttle to the moon, launched with an impressive cannon. Astronomy and artillery are strong elements of the novel, and are echoed in the design of the Shoot the Moon collection. The fountain pen and rollerball are shaped like a French cannon adorned with gold-plated fittings and brown placed lacquer. The clip is set with a large moonstone and features an adjustable target sight on the end. The barrel is set with a filigree astrolabe design and engraved with zodiac signs and moon phases on the band of the fountain pen and rollerball. The shuttle rocket is found inside the pen end. The fountain pen features a solid 18K gold nib. The series also includes a Line 2 lighter and a special set with both writing instruments and a lacquered wood base that adjusts to aim the 'cannon' pens. The S.T. Dupont Prestige Shoot the Moon is numbered and limited to 1,865 pieces. Cartridge/converter fill.
