FAHRNEYS 80TH ANNIVERSARY SIGNATURE FOUNTAIN PEN
We are delighted to present our exclusive 80th Anniversary limited edition fountain pen – the Signature. A collaboration between Fahrney’s and our friends at Stipula, the Signature is an incredible display of the artisanship of the Italian pen maker. Its sculpted barrel and cap are hand-turned in teal green ebonite and decorated with sterling silver accents plated in rose-gold, including the beautifully-crafted band that is handcast using the traditional “lost wax” method. The band is a replica of the lion’s head that stands guard over the door to Fahrney’s downtown Washington, DC store.
Our store is located in the Sun Building, designed by noted architect Alfred B. Mullett and constructed in 1885. Regarded as one of the first skyscrapers because of its multi-story, steel frame, the building was the Washington bureau for the Baltimore Sun newspaper. Fahrney’s anniversary dates, 1929-2009, are engraved on the back of the hallmarked band. On the barrel you’ll find the signature of our founder, Earl Fahrney, engraved on the front with the limited edition number on the back. The Fahrney’s
Signature fountain pen offers an iridium nib plated in rose gold that is available with regular or ITALIC MEDIUM points. A fantastic tribute to Fahrney’s 80th year and the art of fine pen making! Uses cartridges or converter.
