CONWAY STEWART LIMITED EDITION CHARLES DARWIN FOUNTAIN PEN
Conway Stewart is proud to acknowledge the life and work of the famed naturalist Charles Darwin, and to celebrate his upcoming 200th birthday with this beautifully hand-painted limited edition fountain pen. The British scientist published the fundamentals of the theory of evolution, giving the public new thoughts on the development of the natural world. Based on Conway Stewart's flagship Churchill model, the classic flat-top cap and barrel features a vivid depiction of Charles Darwin’s life and his portrait. The images are meticulously applied by hand to each pen individually, and signed by the artist. The Charles Darwin is fitted with an 18K solid gold nib, available in a choice of nib grades. The Darwin Edition embodies every aspect of Conway Stewart’s long tradition of quality English craftsmanship – the rich ebony acrylic cap and barrel are enhanced with gleaming accents of solid 18K gold bands. The distinctive Conway Stewart-styled clip is high on the cap, allowing the pen to ride proudly in the pocket. As a limited edition of only 25 pieces, Conway Stewart has taken every effort to ensure that the Charles Darwin is not only a pen to treasure for it’s artistry, but one to appreciate in everyday use! The Darwin utilizes a reliable cartridge/converter filling mechanism and is housed in a luxury Conway Stewart presentation case.

CHARLES DARWIN FRAMED DOCUMENT
$3,400.00
Charles Darwin (1809 – 1882) was an English naturalist, eminent as a collector andgeologist, who proposed and provided scientific evidence that all species of life have evolved over time from common ancestors through the process he called natural selection. The fact that evolution occurs became accepted by the scientific community and the general public in his lifetime, and now forms the basis of modern evolutionary theory. His five-year voyage on the HMS Beagle established him as a geologist whose observations and theories were published and made him famous as a popular author. His 1859 book "On the Origin of Species" established evolution by common descent as the dominant scientific explanation of diversification in nature.
