Visconti celebrates 20 years with the Ragtime limited edition series!
Visconti was founded in Florence, Italy, in 1988 with the intention of creating unique, exquisite handcrafted writing instruments made in the tradition of old world artisans. One of the company’s first great successes was the Ragtime – a novelty for its design and filling system. For its 20th Anniversary, Visconti has revised and updated the original Ragtime technical drawings, renovating the old moulds for the 14K gold clip and turning the barrel and cap from a solid bar of acryloid. Of special note are the two solid 14K gold rings that are “force fit” around the cap – a bygone technique still practiced by Visconti’s artisans. The Ragtime’s beautiful resin finish features swirling patterns in onyx, gold, tiger’s eye and ivory. The fountain pen is enhanced with a 14K gold nib. This luxurious collection is completed with a capped rollerball and a twist-action ball pen. Only 1,988 of each instrument will be available worldwide. Fountain pen is bottle fill only.
