DELTA SPECIAL LIMITED ISRAEL 60TH ANNIVERSARY VERMEIL FOUNTAIN PEN
The nation of Israel declared its independence in 1948, making 2008 its 60th anniversary. Delta celebrates this event with a beautiful and intriguing collection of limited edition writing instruments, the Israel 60. The masterful pens have a tapered shape, hand-turned from solid blocks of premium resins in swirling shades of sea blue. The angled black resin cap is decorated with a solid sterling silver or vermeil clip that reproduces the Yad, or “hand” in Hebrew, a Jewish ritual pointer. The Yad is intended to prevent anyone from touching the parchment of the Torah, which is considered sacred. The limited edition fountain pens feature 18K gold nibs engraved with the Star of David. The Special Edition fountain pen is accented with vermeil trim and has a lateral lever mechanism for bottle ink filling. The sterling silver Limited Edition fountain pen uses cartridges or converter.
A matching sterling silver rollerball easily converts to a ball pen. Each pen is presented in a handsome box, custom-designed for the Israel 60th Anniversary collection. The Israel Special Edition vermeil fountain pen is limited to 948 pieces.
