The exciting, new Mega Ink-Ball rollerball from Monteverde fills and writes just like an elegant fountain pen with the convenience of a rolling ball point. Just dip the removable, rollerball front section into any bottled ink and a threaded converter draws it inside. You can also insert a standard ink cartridge if you prefer. "CAPLESS FOREVER"™ The Mega can be left open for months and will not dry. "INSTANT WRITER"™ Writes instantly even after extended periods of time between uses. The Mega Ink-Ball offers a smooth and versatile, liquid ink writing experience using any color ink imaginable! The Mega’s rounded, vintage profile is offered in two sizes: shown here is the oversized model in rich black for those who think big. A medium-size in burgundy is also available. The Mega barrel and cap are hand-turned and polished in Italian-grade, acrylic resin and accented with a shortened clip. The Mega is presented in a unique curved box that includes three extra front sections and a bottle of Monteverde black ink.

Monteverde introduces the miracle of reverse miniature hand-painting inside the barrels of its new limited edition pens! This art form emerged in China in the early 1700’s. Clear snuff bottles were painted on the inside, a process known as reverse painting. These bottles are now considered prized collectibles. Monteverde’s original art is hand-painted on the inside of handmade, clear acrylic resin barrels using a hooked paintbrush specifically designed for the pens. Gifted artists take several days to paint each one. Unlike traditional painting technique where the artist starts with the background and builds outwards, the inside (reverse) artist must start with the foreground. It takes years of highly disciplined training before an artist is allowed to work on a reverse painted object. Since the painting is completely done by hand, no two pens are exactly alike. The original, mini-masterpieces are numbered and limited to 395 pieces of each design. The Painted Mega Ink Ball fills and writes just like a fountain pen. The rollerball front section dips into any ink bottle and a threaded converter draws in the ink for a smooth and versatile writing experience. Choose from three limited designs: the Great Wall, Flowers & Birds or the Tiger. Mega Ink Ball uses ink cartridges or converter.
