Conklin revisits its heyday during the Art Deco design movement of the 1920’s and 30’s with the spectacular new Deco Crest limited editions. As a leading force in fountain pen innovation during the first decades of the 20th century, Conklin produced some of the most desirable Art Deco writing instruments of the time. filigree overlays crafted in solid 925 sterling silver or rose gold vermeil and sterling silver fitted onto a black resin pen body. The fountain pens and ball pens are crafted by artisans in Florence, Italy using techniques dating back to the Renaissance, including the beveled edges and gravure workmanship carved into the precious metals. The Deco Crest fountain pen features the famous Conklin Crescent Filler, a mechanism shaped like a crescent moon on the pen barrel. When pressed, it collapses the internal sac – when released it allows incoming ink to displace the expelled air. The 18K gold fountain pen nib has the same markings
