David Oscarson Valhalla Fountain Pen
David Oscarson’s ninth collection of limited edition writing instruments is a tribute to Valhalla, the Viking paradise or otherworld where slain hero-warriors are sent for their eternal reward. In Valhalla, three Viking gods prevail: the Nordic Trinity of Odin, Thor and Frey. Each of the gods is represented in symbolic images and runes created with expert guilloche engravings in high relief on the 18K gold and 925 sterling silver barrels. Three colors of translucent and opaque enamel on each pen display the artistic mastery and technical expertise of the craftsman’s skills. After firing, polishing and buffing, a velvet finish is revealed on the hard enamel. The crowning touch is the 18K gold fountain pen nib, unsurpassed in quality and form. Valhalla also comes in a capped rollerball. Choose from three combinations: black, blue and white with rhodium trim (Odin), black, grey and white with rhodium (Thor), and black, red and white with vermeil accents (Frey). Fountain pen uses cartridges or converter.
