David Oscarson Alfred Nobel Limited Edition Fountain Pen
David Oscarson’s phenomenal Alfred Nobel collection is a tribute to the man and his enduring influence around the world. The dichotomy of his life is depicted in two motifs on the pens: the destruction of an explosive blast of dynamite on the barrel with the Swedish words Varning (warning) Tändhattar (blasting caps) and Fara (danger), and a repeating pattern of a white dove on a blue enamel sky – the international symbol for peace. To depict the explosion, four levels of guilloche engraving are employed on the barrel, with kiln-fired hard enamel spreading outward from white to yellow to orange to red. Adorning the top of the cap are the three crowns of Sweden. The Nobel includes a fountain pen with 18K gold nib and a rollerball, each limited to only 88 pieces. Available in five color combinations. Fountain pen is cartridge/converter fill.
