Product Description
Laban Formosa Rollerball
Laban pays tribute to the mountains and seas, inspired by
the northeast coast of Taiwan, with its beautiful new Formosa
fountain pen and rollerball series. Formosa is the name the
Portuguese give to the land of Taiwan which translates to
‘beautiful island’. Indeed, it is surrounded by the sea and
abundant mountains, where Laban’s founder, John Hu,
famously takes a daily morning swim in the brisk ocean water,
where he was inspired to produce the latest Laban creation.
The oversized Formosa writing instruments are artfully crafted
in exclusive resin colors and fine brass with a silver-plating.
The crystal blue water that meets Taiwan’s northeastern
coastline is reflected in the blue wave-pattern of the acrylic
resin body of the Formosa pen with a silver-plated skeleton
overlay, an artistic representation of a mountain range.
Turning the pen, you can see the abstract mountains and sea
designs in the poetic filigree patterns of the sophisticated
writing instrument, which shows Laban’s outstanding
manufacturing technique. The Formosa fountain pen is fitted
with a German-made JoWo steel nib embossed with the Laban
logo and mountain and water symbols. Echoing the torpedo shaped pen body, the spring-action clip comes to a point at
each end for elegant balance. With an image of the ocean
between your fingers, you may be inspired to write reflections
for a better self, and bring your dreams to life holding the
elegant Laban Formosa.
