Montblanc Doue Heritage Egyptomania Ballpoint
Montblanc presents the Heritage Egyptomania Special Edition collection, sure to seduce cultured gentlemen and ladies with a taste for vintage style. In the beginning of 20th century, a new era of Egyptomania overwhelmed the world of decorative arts and intellectual life, the result of the extensive study of ancient Egyptian remains and culture, starting with Napoleon’s Campaign to the discovery of King Tut’s tomb. This new collection is inspired by the octagonally-shaped Montblanc “Egyptian” fountain pens from the 1920s. On the cap of each Egyptomania pen is an engraved cartouche containing hieroglyphics translating to the word “Montblanc”, or “white stone mountain”. The unique clip features a sculpted scarab beetle at the tip. The octagonal writing instruments are offered in the Heritage series in precious black resin with vintage gold-coated fittings, and the Heritage Doué series in black precious resin and metal trim with vintage gold or vintage platinum coating. The metal overlays are engraved with authentic hieroglyphics. The Egyptomania fountain pen holds a solid gold nib engraved with a scarab design. The Heritage Egyptomania collection also includes a rollerball, ballpoint pen, Egyptomania notebook and Egyptomania Green ink.
