ACME Limited Edition Jimi Hendrix Rollerball
ACME Studio’s newest limited edition is dedicated to Jimi Hendrix, perhaps the greatest rock icon of our time. Bearing an image of the famed guitarist on the barrel and his signature on the cap, the pens feature a sculpted metal clip in the shape of a Fender Stratocaster guitar neck. The Fender Stratocaster was Jimi’s favored instrument, which he famously played upside down and restrung backward to achieve his unique guitar sound. Hendrix (1942-1970) is widely recognized as one of the most creative and influential musicians of the 20th century, pioneering the explosive possibilities of the electric guitar. His revolutionary style of combining fuzz, feedback and controlled distortion created a new music form - embracing blues, rock, R&B, and jazz - that continues to make Hendrix one of the most popular figures in the history of rock music. Although his career spanned only four years and produced just three studio albums, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame describes him as “arguably the greatest instrumentalist in the history of rock music”. The Jimi Hendrix Limited Edition includes a total of 1,000 numbered rollerballs and fountain pens. A commemorative enamel pin is included in the custom wood box.
