Fahrney's Exclusive Pipers Huanghuali Light Chinese Wood Ballpoint Pen
Fahrney’s is excited to present its latest exclusive, one-of-a-kind limited production pens from Pipers, the Huanghuali special edition. Huanghuali is a precious Chinese wood that was harvested to extinction during the Qing, or ‘Manchu’ Dynasty which reigned from 1644-1912. This special Pear Tree was deemed ‘wood of the royalty’ and was used in the production of everything from prayer beads to thrones for the imperial families. The characters engraved on the clip read, “ancient flowering pear”, a few words now lost to history. There are rumored to be one or two trees left in China, tucked back far from the grips of civilization, but the truth is as cloudy as the mountains where Huanghuali grows. Artfully handcrafted by local artisans, the Huanghuali ball pens are turned, sculpted and polished to perfection. Fittings are hewn from American-made 100% stainless steel. We offer two wood choices: dark red from very rare, old growth wood; or lighter brown wood with golden overtones. Each pen is numbered and very limited in production – please order early to enjoy the warmth and beauty of rare Huanghuali wood!
