Fahrney’s 2021 Cherry Blossom Limited Edition by Retro 51 is in bloom! The wait is over! We’re thrilled to present our new 2022 Cherry Blossom writing instruments, produced exclusively for Fahrney’s by Retro 51. Released each year to coincide with the blooming of the spring cherry blossoms in our home base of Washington, DC, the 16th collection features Ford’s Theatre, a National Historic Site in our nation’s capital. The elegant theatre building became a part of American history on April 14, 1865, when Abraham Lincoln, the 16th U.S. President, was assassinated during a performance. The venue features a restored theatre showcasing the look and feel of that tragic day, with exhibits on Abraham Lincoln’s life in office, Civil War milestones, and artifacts from the final moments of his life. For our 2022 pen design, the 19th century building’s facade is framed by cherry blossoms and Victorian design elements are printed in ivory on the pen barrel and cap. A gloss varnish protects the finish; antiqued cop- per accents include the cap top with a cherry blossom finial. The limited production 2022 Cherry Blossom collection includes a Retro Tornado fountain pen with steel nib, a twist-top rollerball/ ball pen, and a 1.15mm pencil with eraser, all shipped in a custom Fahrney’s Cherry Blossom tube. Fountain pen is fitted with Retro’s German-made steel nib that offers improved ink flow and responsiveness with each stroke.
