Retro 51 The Met Fountain Pen
The Met Tudor Armor
This regal pen by Retro51 pays tribute to an impressive suit of armor (1586) made in the royal workshops at Greenwich under the direction of master armorer Jacob Halder (British, documented 1558–1608) and now in The Met collection. It was designed for George Clifford, Third Earl of Cumberland and an illustrious Knight of the Garter as of 1592, for field and tournament use. This fountain pen replicates the original artisan's decorative craftsmanship with Queen Elizabeth I's family emblem, the Tudor rose, the French fleur-de-lis (then part of the English arms), and two Es back-to-back (Elizabeth's cipher). The gold and black design is printed over the brass barrel and cap with protective matte coating that is finished with polished brass trim. Each pen has been numbered on the top ring and loaded in The Met licensed packaging with insert inside. Pick up a piece of history with this fine writing instrument.

  The Met William Morris's Blackthorn
The "Blackthorn" pattern was designed by textile artist William Morris during the Arts and Crafts Movement of the 19th century. Several colors have been printed around the Tornado's cap and barrel that's finished with a gloss varnish and polished brass accents. This Tornado Fountain pen is packaged in a commemorative tube with more information about each design included. Each fountain has The Met logo imprinted on the finial and is finished with polished brass trim. Although they are not limited-editions, the top rings are engraved with The Met logo and a numbered serial number. These beautiful designs are a must have for any art lover.
