Alchemy of Colors takes its inspiration from the printing system known as CMYK which stands for Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black – a color model known as quadrichromy.
When the first three colors are mixed in vary- ing amounts, they can create almost any color you can imagine from red, pink and sky blue to purple, orange, green and beyond! Black is used to darken any color formula. In addition to the four basic colors, Pineider has invented a transparent ink for lightening the color formulas and thus creating a full range of sub-shades. Each 50ml bottle of ink has an eyedrop- per in the cap to mix your inks drop by drop. Five empty bot- tles are provided for you to experiment and keep your new ink creations. Pineider also includes its new Ink Filler to load ink into piston filling pens. A Pineider Snorkel filler allows you to fill an ink converter (without getting your hands dirty). A well- designed instruction booklet shows you how to mix inks and gives you formulas for creating colors; Archive cards let you jot down your own color formulas for future reference.
