Esterbrook Limited Edition Harry Truman Ballpoint Pen
The Esterbrook Pen Co. is honored to introduce the Harry S. Truman limited edition
collection, the second installment in its Presidential Series, which pays homage to
some of our greatest Presidents, who used Esterbrook pens while in office. Harry S.
Truman became America’s 33rd President in 1945, inheriting the colossal tasks and
decisions required to lead the United States through the end of World War II. From
1945 thru 1953, President Truman held the country together through some of the
most significant events of the 20th century. With an Esterbrook pen in hand, Truman
signed many Acts and Bills which set the course of America for future generations.
He is known for implementing the Marshall Plan to rebuild the economy of Western
Europe, for the establishment of the Truman Doctrine and NATO against Soviet and
Chinese Communism, and for intervening in the Korean War.
He desegregated the
U.S. Armed Forces, supported a newly independent Israel and was a founder of the
United Nations. Each Harry Truman limited edition pen is made from solid brass
layered with richly colored lacquers in maroon, symbolizing the official color of
Truman’s home state of Missouri, and midnight black lacquer engraved with the
former President’s famous signature. A silver-plated central band is etched with
Truman’s signature and his years in office. The top of each cap holds a medallion
embossed with the Presidential seal from 1945, the year Truman took office. The
fountain pen is equipped with a German-made steel nib; matching ball pen is activated
with a twist. The numbered pens are presented in a special black and maroon
box featuring President Truman’s signature. Limited to 200 of each pen mode.
