Cross Peerless Fonderie 47 Collector's Edition Rollerball
Over the past year, Cross has been supporting Fonderie 47 and its co-founder, Peter Thum, an American social entrepreneur and business executive. Peter has a vision for Africa and works to reduce the number and impact of assault rifles and other small arms from conflict regions and gives them new purpose by turning them into jewelry, watches and pens. Today, millions of assault rifles plague Africa. This very special Cross rollerball pen is part of a series of writing instruments created in collaboration with Fonderie 47 to support the vision of an Africa free from assault rifles. Each Peerless
Fonderie 47 Collector’s Edition features a disk of blackened steel from a melted-down AK47 gun embedded in its cap and marked with the Fonderie 47 logo. On the panel of the cap is the unique serial number of a gun taken out of circulation to create it. The purchase of this pen will enable the destruction of one more assault weapon in Africa – a weapon that will never again be used to take human lives. Featuring black PVD plating with 23K
gold-plated appointments, each pen is showcased in a luxury gift box with a wood pen stand branded with the Fonderie 47 logo to showcase this truly unique work of art. Also included is a Certificate of Authenticity signed by Peter Thum and the Cross designer.
As Mr. Thum said, "Let us focus on enhancing the beauty of the written word in our society, by turning guns into pens, and using the power of the written word to put an end to the senseless and ugly casualties created by assault weapons." We applaud Mr. Thum and Cross for their life-saving and life-changing enterprise.
