Established in 1898 in Toledo, Ohio, the Conklin Pen Co. changed writing forever when it patented the pen known as the Crescent Filler, the world’s first practical self-filling fountain pen. With Mark Twain as its spokesman, Conklin Pens thrived and Crescent Fillers became one of the most beloved pens in history. The newest finish features Gunmetal plating over solid brass and offers a pleasing weight in the hand. The Crescent is known for its easy-to-fill reservoir. To load the pen, press the crescent mechanism on the barrel to empty the rubber bladder; place the nib into a bottle of ink and it flows back in as the crescent is released. The Crescent is fitted with Conklin’s Cushion Point black steel nib with crescent-shaped breathing hole. Limited to 1,898 pieces worldwide.
