Dupont Line D Firehead Under Blue Lacquer Rollerball
The Fire Head collection pays tribute to Simon Tissot Dupont who founded the company in 1872.
It is with great pride that S.T. Dupont preserves the know-how of its master craftsmen, who are
heirs to skills passed down from generation to generation. In the Fire Head collection, S.T. Dupont
combines the skills of the lacquerer with the expertise of the goldsmith.
The Fire Head under Lacquer
collection includes the exceptional Line D fountain pen with 14K rhodium-plated gold nib
engraved with the blazon, capped rollerball, twist ball pen and a Ligne 2 lighter, all combining the
same ancient skills in a way that creates something new. Each item is hand-polished and plated
with precious palladium finish and patterned with an homage to 1952’s era-defining Diamond
Head design. With six triangular facets, the Fire Head guilloche pattern is velvet on the hand, contrasting
superbly with its geometrical precision. S.T. Dupont’s artisans add layers of blue natural
lacquer to the patterned guilloche surface in a months-long process involving many applications
and polishing to impart depth and mystery to each finish. The Line D series has been newly remodeled
with a bold blazon on the clip, enhanced Dupont ‘D’ in the crown and a perfectly balanced
shape for exceptional writing – for present and future generations.
