David Oscarson Les Quatre Couleurs Limited Edition Fountain Pen
Les Quatre Couleurs is the seventeenth in the David Oscarson Limited Edition Series of quality writing instruments. The David Oscarson Les Quatre Couleurs Limited Edition Fountain Pen is limited to production of only 88 pieces, including Roller Ball and Fountain Pen styles.
Les Quatre Couleurs translated means The Four Colors or The Four Suits. The four suits in playing cards - Spades, Hearts, Diamond and Clubs originated in France in 1480. Spades represent nobility, Hearts represent the church, Diamonds represent wealth and finally Clubs represent peasantry. Les Quatre Couleurs with its double meaning is an appropriate play on words as the four suited collection will be available in four color variations, translucent grey, opaque white, translucent ruby red and opaque black, each portraying all four suits on the cap and barrel. The Quatre Couleurs Collection incorporates multiple levels of Guilloche engraving and a combination of translucent and opaque Hard Enamels. The David Oscarson Les Quatre Couleurs Limited Edition Series is repeatedly kiln fired and filed by hand, resulting in the beautiful and enduring finish of true hard enamel. This is truly a masterpiece in artistry in fine writing instruments.
