Overall I bought this holder, even after looking at other cheaper quality imitations going for less than half the price of this item, and I am so glad that I did! The craftsmanship, quality of materials, weight, and over-all impression of this item is just absolutely magnificent. Are there cheaper knock-offs available? Sure. Do the compare with the quality and finish of this piece? No. So glad I spent the extra cost and bought this fine piece! Yes, excellent craftsmanship! High quality, heavy metal stand that is nicely cast. Basically it is, although it's quite small at about 2" tall. Great, smiling Buddha. Can hold any average pen; not for large pens such as a Pelikan Souveran 800.
