Overall
I collect fountain pens and one of the things I like about Pelikan pens, even their inexpensive models, is they just don't dry out like other pens and I have some expensive pens.
I wish it also used cartridges and not just bottled ink. It was a little confusing to fill it the first time. Doesn't come with a lot of instructions in English.
Great writing pen; smooth with even ink flow although it is an extra-fine tip.
I have other pens of more value than what I paid for this pen but this probably the best writing of them all. When I take the cap off I know it is going to write from the start because it just doesn't dry out. I took one of my inexpensive Pelikans out that had not been used for over a month. It wrote as quick as the nib touched the page.
What is your opinion of the quality of this item?
Great product with a good guarantee. It will not dry out with normal use and is a joy to write with.

What is your opinion of the quality of this item?
I'm a fountain pen enthusiast, and have a collection of certain well known brands. The Pelikan 200 is an outstanding fountain pen in its architecture, and its ease/comfort of use. Light in weight, easy to fill, and the "nib"(Broad) performs smoothly, with an even ink flow. The "posted" size is perfect for those with small and medium size hands. I personally use this pen on a daily basis.
