In honor of National Handwriting Day, Fahrney’s invites you to enter our 2012 Handwriting Contest.
The winner will receive the latest innovation in writing instruments - a Parker 5th Technology Ingenuity!
The purpose of National Handwriting Day is to alert the public to the importance of handwriting. According to the Writing Instrument Manufacturers Association, National Handwriting Day is a chance for all of us to re-explore the purity and power of handwriting. WIMA sponsors National Handwriting Day every January 23 in conjunction with John Hancock's birthday. Hancock was the first to sign the Declaration of Independence and is famous for his large, bold signature.
Handwriting is one of the few ways we can uniquely express ourselves. Please take a few moments to express yourself in your own handwriting by sharing your thoughts on one of these three subjects:
"Throughout history, handwritten documents have sparked love affairs, started wars, established peace, freed slaves, created movements and declared independence." Writing Instrument Manufacturers Association (WIMA)
- How you came to appreciate fine writing instruments
- Your opinion on cursive handwriting being eliminated from public schools curriculums throughout the country
- A life-changing event
