The new Meisterstück Around the World in 80 Days collection is inspired by the famous adventure novel by Jules Vernes. The main character travels via steamboat, from London to Bombay, crossing the Mediterranean Sea and through the Suez Canal. The pen caps feature a milled pattern of ocean waves and key elements of the novel: a lacquer spade card suit on the clip and a cartouche with a lasered steamboat. The cap top is embossed with the length of the journey, 18 days from London to Bombay and 80 days in total. The fountain pens are finished with a handcrafted rhodium-coated solid gold nib engraved with the hot air balloon and the start and end date of the adventurous journey. The Around the World in 80 Days collection includes dark blue precious resin Classique and LeGrand pens, Doué Classique pens in blue translucent lacquer with etched, platinum- coated cap, and Solitaire LeGrand in lacquered metal with wave patterns and platinum-coated accents. Matching accessories include blue bottle ink, spade and heart mother-of-pearl cufflinks, and an embossed leather notebook.
