Product Description

Pilot Metropolitan Animal Print Fountain Pen
The Pilot Metropolitan is a great introductory fountain pen. The new Animal collection has a patterned accent band, silver trim, and a steel nib. With its balanced brass barrel, stainless steel clip and contemporary design, the Metropolitan offers both style and writing comfort. This collection comes in Blue Leopard, White Tiger, Champagne Lizard, Silver Python and Black Crocodile.
It comes with a squeeze converter and a black Pilot ink cartridge. Cartridge or bottle fill. It comes packaged in a gift box.

Overall

What is your opinion of the quality of this item?

The pen has a snap on/off cap that comes off easily. I don't usually post my fountain pens while writing, but I have tried that with this pen and it is comfortable to write with both posted and not posted. The body looks to be made well with a smooth finish. I also purchased a pilot ink cartridge and the ink works well with the pen. I haven't had any issues with the pen leaking in the cap so my fingers have remained ink free! It doesn't feel as smooth as my Waterman Carenne with an 18K gold nib, but then I didn't expect it to be so with a stainless steel nib. Give it a try, I think you will find it an excellent value.
