Rotring Premium Mechanical Pencil + Stylus Hybrid
Rotring adds a new twist to its top-of-the-line 800 model! The 800+ gives you a premium hybrid mechanical pencil + stylus, combining both modes at the same end with a unique 'twist and click' retractable mechanism. Activate the point and the entire sleeve and lead pop out; retract the pencil to use the stylus – both modes are on the same end! The soft stylus tip is compatible with all capacitive touchscreens. The Rotring 800+ provides a full metal, hexagonal body for perfect balance and writing comfort. Its non-slip, knurled grip offers great control. Pencil holds an eraser under the push-button cap. Choose 0.5mm or 0.7mm lead size, and matte black or silver finish.

I am an old architect and love this pencil/stylus.

The quality is up to the usual high standards of Rotring. I use it often when drawing in front of clients and sourcing on my Apple phone for products. It is the only pencil/stylus that I know of and a good one. If it were lost I would quickly order an other.

Interesting concept

What is your opinion of the quality of this item?
This hybrid pencil is true to the Rotring quality having a regular pencil for a number of years of use.

The design is almost the same as the pencil with the necessary modifications for the lead end to retract so the stylus is usable.

It works just like a good thin lead pencil and the sylus at first appeard to require a slightly greater pressure for tapping on the smart phone screen. After several uses it appears to be requiring less pressure or I mayu just be getting used to it.

A good value

I chose the black version and the coat in is a bit coarse to the touch. It will take a little while to be comfortable with the rough feel.
