        MICHEL PERCHIN MP5 FOUNTAIN PEN
Michel Perchin was a brilliant designer who headed the legendary Fabergé workshop in 1885. He created the Imperial Easter Eggs and led the firm and its artisans to become the jewelers of Russian royalty. Today, the legacy of Michel Perchin is carried on in these spectacular writing instruments crafted in Europe by the world’s finest gold and silversmiths. The MP5 was inspired by Fabergé’s Blue Serpent Clock Egg, presented to Empress Maria Fedorovna by her husband Tsar Alexander III in 1887. It was the only egg to be later reproduced for an American in 1902. The MP5 barrel and all metal parts, including the Serpent clip, are sculpted from 925 sterling silver and engraved in a unique guilloche pattern. Layers of exquisite enamel are applied before the silver is coated with three microns of gold or rhodium. The gold-finish MP5s come in Royal Blue or Ruby Red lacquer; the rhodium finish in Coronation Yellow enamel. The limited edition pens are marvelous works of art whether you choose the fountain pen with two-tone, 18K gold nib or the matching capped convertible pen that can be used as a rollerball or ball pen. Fountain pen uses cartridges or converter.
