What is your opinion of the quality of this item?
Fantastic pen! Perfect in every way! Gorgeous iridescence! I chose the blue Montegrappa Elmo Fantasy Bloom because it has my favorite colors. I almost cried tears of joy when I put the pen in my hand. I measured it to be 5 1/2" long and 1/2" wide at the widest. The size and shape are perfect in my hand. The resin (or whatever the blue is made of) is absolutely glass shiny and every bit of it captures the light as you turn it. It is truly the most beautiful pen I have ever seen. The silver accents are perfect and gorgeous and complement rather than detract. The feel is solid and well balanced. It writes beautifully. I think whether you are buying a gift or a special purchase for yourself, I cannot imagine anyone not being thrilled to own this pen. I personally feel a monogram would detract, not add to the beauty because the shine of the barrel is so gorgeous as it is. I would give this 100/100 on a 1-100 scale. It can't get any better than this.
