Retro 51 Fahrney's Exclusive 2016 Cherry Blossom Fountain Pen
Fahrney’s tenth series of Special Edition Cherry Blossom Pens by Retro 51 salutes the Library of Congress and the 200 years since its collection was restored by Thomas Jefferson. The original library had been destroyed when the U.S. Capitol was burned by the British during the War of 1812. Congress purchased Jefferson’s entire personal collection of 6,487 books which laid the foundation for a great national library. Released each year to coincide with the blooming of the cherry blossoms in our home base in Washington, DC, Fahrney’s exclusive 2016 pens are an original design created by Retro 51 featuring the delicate blossoms surrounding the Library of Congress’ Thomas Jefferson Building. Perched inside the cherry blossoms is a wood thrush, DC’s official bird. The lovely design has a lacquer “marble” base that is screen printed on the solid metal Tornado-style pens with satin matte gold-colored accents. The limited production series includes a fountain pen with stainless steel nib, twist-top rollerball/ball pen, and a 1.15mm pencil with eraser. The Cherry Blossom pens are presented in a custom-designed, cylinder-shaped box. Use your new pens to record your budding thoughts and ideas in Fahrney’s own 2016 Cherry Blossom companion journal. Cartridge/converter fill.
