Beautiful and responsive!

What is your opinion of the quality of this item?

I own a half dozen large Pilot pens, but only had one Sailor; a 1911 standard. It needed a companion. Choice was easy once I saw this lovely Stormy Sea. I'd been coveting the 21k nib and larger sized 1911 and this color was worth the wait. It's a peacock blue with a bit of metallic sheen. The nib is not what I would call flexible, if that's your thing you may want to keep looking, but it is very responsive and a joy with which to write. The lightest of touch to paper and its smooth nib glides impressively while showing off shading inks properties to their potential. Being a flexible nib writer myself, it took about half page before I got the hang of it. I've got arthritis but it's light touch and weight yet larger size has now made this my daily writing pen. Mine is a fine, writes like an extra fine, comparable to Pilot and other Japanese nibs. No complaints. Well done Sailor!
