Sailor Announces the arrival of the third installment in the Sailor Manyo Pen series. The latest release has been crafted to celebrate the 5th anniversary of the Manyo ink collection. This series stands out not only for its design and quality but also because it is not available in Japan, making it a truly unique offering for North America consumers.

Each pen in this limited-edition series is a work of art, featuring exquisite foil embossing on the top finial, rendered in a stunning rainbow foil. Every pen also comes with a matching 50ml bottle of Manyo ink that is currently only available in these pen sets and is not available for purchase separately. The pens feature a 14K gold nib, available in Fine (F), Medium-Fine (MF), and Medium (M) sizes.

 
Five distinct designs in this series:

 1. Gourd: Inspired by the smooth, green-yellow tones of a ripened gourd, this pen is bright and inviting. It comes with Manyo Ink Sumomo, a light red ink inspired by the sumomo flower which blooms earlier than cherry blossoms, signaling an early arrival of spring.

2. Red Bean: The Red Bean pen is adorned in a purplish red, reminiscent of the traditional Japanese azuki bean. Paired with Manyo Ink Azuki, a warm purple ink that reflects how azuki was traditionally consumed in savory dishes, often simply salted, during the Heian period.

3. Bamboo Shoot: This pen captures the fresh, natural light green tones of a young bamboo shoot, symbolizing growth and vitality. It is paired with Manyo Ink Nagi, a gentle blue-green ink inspired by a grass that grows in paddy fields, producing small blue-purple flowers in late summer.

4. Persimmon: This pen showcases a rich, warm orange hue reminiscent of ripe persimmons. It is paired with Manyo Ink Budo, a deep and vibrant blue-purple inspired by wild grapes that were historically used for food and dyeing during the Heian period.

5. Chestnut: The pen features a gray-brown color, evoking the warmth and richness of chestnut wood. This pen is paired with Manyo Ink Kuri, a smooth and soft earthy brown ink inspired by the chestnut, a popular autumn delicacy that symbolized familial bonds in traditional Japanese culture.
