Ebonite, or hard rubber, was one of the first materials to be used for the production of fountain pens back in the early twentieth century. Very few companies today still know how to work with the material to make pens. Visconti has utilized ebonite many times throughout its history, achieving outstanding results. The long-standing Florentine brand decided to revive its manufacture of ebonite to celebrate its 30th anniversary with a new take on a traditional Visconti pen. The result is the spectacular Voyager 30 – a perfect blend of tradition, grace and uniqueness. The collection comes in three ebonite color combinations: brown with gold-plated vermeil finish, red with palladium finish, or the deluxe Voyager 30 in green ebonite with solid 18K gold trim. All trims are crafted in 925 sterling silver. The Voyager 30 fountain pen features Visconti’s patented Double Reservoir Power Filler that offers a large ink capacity and safe usage during air travel; fountain pen is also enhanced with either Visconti’s 23K Palladium Dreamtouch super-flexible nib or 18k gold nib. Visconti is phasing out the dreamtouch 23K palladium nib in a rolling change. Brown and Red Voyager 30 fountain pens are limited to 300 pieces worldwide; the Green Voyager is limited to only 30 pieces.
