Visconti Homo Sapiens Color Lava Fountain Pen
Visconti Homo Sapiens Lava Color
Visconti is proud to present new additions to the renowned Homo Sapiens Collection: the Homo Sapiens Lava Color, the first collection to showcase our 14kt gold nib made entirely in-house. This colorful writing instrument with a matte finish reinterprets our iconic Homo Sapiens collection in 3 new color ways, Blizzard (white), Inferno (red) and Sandstorm (tan) accented by black ruthenium trim. The pen is made from Visconti’s well-known and highly valued material. The Lava Color collection is the perfect union of catalyzed Mount Etna basaltic lava and colored resin using our patented methods. This new edition also has an anti-stain treatment that protects the pen and prevents ink from depositing on the pen during refilling. Unlike the classic Homo Sapiens Lava collection, the Lava Color features an exclusive magnetic lock closing system which makes opening and closing effortless on the fountain pen and rollerball editions. The fountain pen features Visconti’s patented power filling system and Visconti’s first ever, in-house crafted 14kt oversized black ruthenium nib and is available in EF, F, M, B, and Stub.

Superb feel and great ink flow

What is your opinion of the quality of this item?

This pen (Blizzard White in Fine Point) is a marvel of engineering and aesthetics. The stone/lava feel is solid and reassuring. The flow from the nib is precise yet flows effortlessly. I was especially pleased with the one-step piston filler. The magnetic cap is a fine feature. As advertised, it wiped clean with no effort, even with reddish ink (Pilot momiji). It is more than equal to my Pelikan M800. Finally, the white color with dark Basaltic lava flecks makes it unique in my collection.
