Monteverde First Step is dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moonlanding in 1969 with an amazing limited edition created in the Nabu reverse painting technique. Nabu is the process of meticulously hand painting inside the pen barrel using tiny L-shaped brushes. This centuries-old art form requires painstaking effort and skill to create each one-of-a-kind pen. The design depicts the moon landing with Neil Armstrong, the American flag and planet Earth. First Step fountain pen has a large barrel and cap and holds a smooth stainless steel nib. The First Step also comes in a Ink•Ball model that writes and fills with ink like a fountain pen, but with a rollerball point. Limited edition of 888 of each mode. Presented in a custom gift box.
