Esterbrook JR Pocket Fountain Pen
Esterbrook ‘JR’ pocket pen is small but mighty!
When it was introduced in the 1940’s, the “J” was Esterbrook’s sleek, suave and wildly popular pocket pen. It was the writing instrument of choice for teachers, doctors, business owners and leaders. It was classic
in its appearance and appealed to the practicality of the times. An homage to the original, the new “JR” pocket pen is a true revival of its beloved predecessor. Since it’s a pen rich with Esterbrook history, some of its most important features are honored while adding a twist of modernity and some bells and whistles. The new JR is stylish and refined without being too dressed up, and its compact size means you can take it wherever you go (5” capped; 6” posted). Mirroring the original J, the new JR version has an embossed metal clip with linear grooves for retro appeal and is offered in three marbleized resins with variable sheen on the barrel and cap in Tuxedo Charcoal or Carmine Red (coral) with rhodium-plated trim, and Capri Blue with gold-plated accents. The JR has a comfortable, contoured grip section; the threaded cap can be posted for balance. The German-made steel nib is coated in rhodium or gold to match each pen’s metal trim. The nib is offered in five point sizes and is engraved with the Esterbrook Eternity symbol, as is the cap finial. The small but mighty JR pocket pen comes in a red fabric gift box and includes an Esterbrook polishing cloth.
