PVD coating is an acronym for Physical Vapor Deposition. PVD coating is considered the most durable, super hard coating currently available (by far). Drawing inspiration from Conklin's original models from the 1930's and the rich heritage of the brand, the all-new All-American Rainbow collection brings a vibrant, contemporary style to a timeless, streamlined oversize design. The threaded cap and barrel of the fountain pen are carefully tapered to provide a perfect balance.The All-American pays homage to the classic designs of the vintage Conklin era. Available in a fountain pen or Rollerball.  Though the Conklin All American is an oversize pen, the tapering of the cap and barrel create a great balance, and keep the pen comfortable in the hand.
