Released only in the U.S, the exclusive series is created by Dupont’s master craftsmen who expertly hand apply up to nine layers of natural lacquer to reach the pearl-like shimmer and luxurious finish that is resistant to shock, scratches and even fire. The “burst” effect is created using a hand-sprayed lacquer tech- nique to produce a magnificent patina on the two finishes: Starburst (blue with silver) or Sunburst (black with gold accents). The Dupont Line D has a bold blazon on the articulated clip, an enhanced Dupont ‘D’ in the cap crown and a well-balanced shape for exceptional writing. The cap closes with Dupont’s iconic ‘ping’ and features a fluted grip section. Also available as a fountain pen.
