Delta Special Edition Hippocratica Civitas Fountain Pen
Delta's Hippocratica is a tribute to Hippocrates, the father of western medicine and the writer of the Hippocratic Oath. The new Hippocratica Civitas special edition is dedicated to the city of Salerno, Italy, and its School of Medicine. Salerno's coat-of-arms bears the words 'HIPPOCRATICA CIVITAS', or 'City of Hippocrates', an ancient attribute and pride of its citizens for centuries. The Civitas collection is turned by hand from solid bars of special pearled red and royal blue resins with metal accents plated in precious rhodium. The solid sterling silver rings are handcast with Hippocratica Civitas and plated in rhodium. The unique clip is cast as the Rod of Asclepius, the Greek god, a symbol of healing and medicine. A crown medallion portrays St. Matthew, patron of Salerno. The numbered Hippocratica Civitas special edition includes a fountain pen with 18K gold and rhodium nib and a capped rollerball. Cartridge/converter fill.
