What makes the Ogami notepad range special is that they are made not of paper, but of...stone! This revolutionary stone paper is called REPAP and consists of 80% calcium carbonate (CaCO3) and 20% non-toxic resin (HDPE High Density Polyethylene). The calcium carbonate derives from material recovered from quarries and building industry waste. Its reduced to a fine powder and mixed with special non-toxic resins to create REPAP stone paper.

This is fantastic paper

If you do outside writing like I do for nature walks and also fishing expeditions or anywhere you take notes where it may be wet. It is waterproof like they say. I also love the feel of the paper and the weight it almost feels like your handling stone

I think this is a great value if you have the need of a good memo pad for outside or even just important notes

What is your opinion of the quality of this item?
My overall assessment is that it is Fantastic

I like the style and that it has an elastic band to keep the notepad shut when your not using it.

I would pay MORE for the following: Leather-bound Better (wider) inside margin - and or binding to open more flat for easier writing narrower lines

I like the overall style

I expect to get very good use out of it and am looking forward to buying the larger or spiral bound versions

Great for a ledger or personal journal

Stone paper ? A very unique concept. This paper is ideal for use with the Napkin inkless pens, of which I own two. Notebooks appear sturdy with a thick spine. Elastic cord to hold the book closed is a great feature.

What is your opinion of the quality of this item?
I think this is a great item for someone keeping a journal or personal ledger. Compact, and appears to be quite durable. I have yet to test the waterproof feature of the paper, but given the dense material it's constructed of, I'm sure it will repel liquid very well.

One thing I wish were possible with this notebook is that the pages were perforated. I like the elastic closure, but it does not include an inside pocket as described. Not a deal breaker, and overall it's a fine item which I would probably buy again.
