I've been accumulating fountain pens for years, not only because I like variety but also in quest of the ideal writing instrument. And there have been disappointments along the way. Many pens that captivate the eye are poorly designed or don't write well. I've finally learned that you don't get a better pen by paying more. This Pilot is perfectly DESIGNED FOR USE and WRITES beautifully. It positively reeks of QUALITY AT A BARGAIN PRICE.

The pen arrived yesterday; so far I have only "test-driven" it. You'll have to wait for The Great American Novel :-). So far, I like this pen. The whole retractable nib idea is really cool. The barrel is a good fit for my grip. The length and width well fit my medium-large hand. The nib (F) is smooth, has a smidgen of flex, and a very nice flow of ink. Pilot's idea of a Fine nib matches my own. All in all, I am well pleased and look forward to using this pen on a regular basis. Merchant Response

These pens are great! The only difference from the regular Pilot pen is the barrel size. These thinner pens fit my hand much better and the colors are beautiful!
