What is your opinion of the quality of this item? Fragile. Like many Stipula pens, Beautiful, but easily damaged. I don't post my pens, but this one simply cannot be posted. Careful! when you replace cap on pen, easily overtightened and will crack section (didn't do this, but fear it as a possibility.) Overpriced... Nice design, but poorly constructed. Simple. About an $8.00 pen. Unless you're a Stipula collector, you can find better deals.

I do like seeing the inner workings of this pen. I have a medium nib and it it more like a fine one. It is scratchy on paper and ink does not flow well. I am disappointed overall with this pen. I will probably never buy another product from this manufacturer.

What is your opinion of the quality of this item? Super! Beautiful. The transparent ink reservoir works like a gas gauge on your car. I'll never again leave for a meeting and then - surprise! - run out of ink, because I can see how much ink I have at any time. My Stipula Splash is dark blue and filled with Fahrney's Midnight Blues Ever-Write ink at the moment, but it would be fun with a bright contrasting color, like red or fuchsia. This is the easiest fountain pen I have ever had. I recommend it for a fountain pen beginner. I opened the box and looked at the very user-friendly instruction book just to make sure that filling the Splash really is as easy as it looks, but I would have done it right without looking. The ink flows perfectly. You may notice a slight scratching sound compared with some more expensive nibs, but that is a practically non-existent drawback. The nib really writes beautifully. Excellent value. The distinguishing feature is ease of use. Spectacular, for yourself or to give to someone who wants to try a fountain pen.

What is your opinion of the quality of this item? I haven't had any issues where the ink didn't flow. This is a huge positive in my book because I have a lot of fountain pens that cost a lot more that dry out quickly. The pen is very easy to refill with ink. I think this pen is a great value for the price. I definitely recommend it.
