What is your opinion of the quality of this item? The high-impact plastic makes this the perfect everyday pen. There is no concern that a dropped pen will crack the body. Also, if the nib is damaged, new Lamy nibs are available on the internet for $11 plus shipping. There are videos on the internet for removing nibs and installing new nibs, Very Easy to do. There are many thoughtful design points. The snap on/off cap is quick and convenient. The pen is so light, there is no effort to hold it. Lamy's design forces us to hold the pen correctly for maximum comfort and writing efficiency. The see-through windows on the pen body allow for a quick check of the ink level. I ordered the Italic nib which skipped a lot. I replaced the Italic nib with a Fine nib I found on the Internet for $11. I am very happy with Lamy and Fahrneys. The Lamy Safari sits securely in a shirt pocket and the light weight does not distort the shirt pocket. The snap cap is a plus. If I had discovered Lamy earlier, I could have saved a lot of money on fountain pens. The pen is light, indestructible, writes so smoothly and is my favorite daily pen. I don't know how Lamy could create a flawless fountain pen for such a low price. This is my first order from Fahrney's internet site, I usually prefer shopping at their F Street store. I have been a customer of Fahrneys since the late 1970s. However, my internet experience was excellent. I received my order in just a couple of days.

What is your opinion of the quality of this item? Excellent quality The design of the pen is simple but attractive. Plus it comes in different colors! Extremely straight forward to use. Drop a cartridge in the barrel, screw on the nib, and start writing! Very smooth ink flow. Fabulous value! Nice quality, every day pen that is durable. I really love it! Purchased my first one a number of years ago in black and have since purchased an orange one and a pink one. I enjoy the alternate refillable ink cartridge as well.
