The Best Fountain Pen

Overall What is your opinion of the quality of this item? You know, when I read that the barrel was made of brass, I was expecting quite a hefty pen. To my surprise, the pen is weighted perfectly, has a great heft which allows one to write for hours without stress to the hand, regardless of being a righty or a lefty! Talk about an instrument of beauty! Beautiful nib,and clip! I almost gave the best fountain pen category to Pelikan. But after testing Montblanc,Parker, and Pelikan, I'm in love and will give it to Waterman Carene. Truly an instrument of great beauty and usage!

What is your opinion of the quality of this item? It is very good writer. It fits well in the hand. Consistent writing and smooth. It is beautiful with or without it cap it posted. The times needed to be aligned once was very smooth and post could be a little finicky. Other than that it is great.

It's a solid brass pen with a firm gold nib and it glides over the paper when you write. It's sleek and smooth and extremely well weighted. Don't post the cap though. It will throw the weight off and over time may ruin the paint job. The colors are beautiful! I have a "royal blue" (aka Purple), High Gloss Black, Orange and a Moss speckled Green, which is fabulous! I have used both cartridge and reservoir. Either is smooth and no issue except you have to wipe the nib when bottle filling. Cleaning is also very easy, and I have many pens, so I'm picky when I switch pens and make sure that I have flushed out the ink before retiring. I don't like to post my caps as a preference, but this was designed for those who do. Once the ink is in there is a steady, consistent ink flow and it will not dry out between thoughts. It's one of the better ones out there. What is your opinion of the quality of this item? If the Parker 51 put on a little more heft and the nib was a slimmed down version of the Edson. Overall it's the FIRST pen I recommend to people looking for something to try at a Pen Show, and I am another customer! If you can buy one, get one.

What is your opinion of the quality of this item? Eye catching electric blue. Nib could have been little smoother but was easy to fix with a little micro mesh.
