Top quality instrument, tool, and fountain pen. The pen pulls from the instrument to add cartridge by a pressure fitting. I believe that after a short time, tightening the pen top will loosen this pressure fitting and cause it to loosen and rotate. Potential design flaw. Writes well. Easy tool access. Will re- evaluate in six months to see if pen cap and pressure fitting counteract each other to failure point. What is your opinion of the quality of this item? Good value
