What is your opinion of the quality of this item? The pen is very well made and I really enjoy the unique crescent fill design. I am pleased with this purchase. Thank you. Fit's nicely in hand and smooth to write with. Very unique design and I like the different Mark Twain pattern. Easy to fill and easy to use. I know this costs a bit more because it's the Mark Twain pen but I like it and don't mind paying a little extra for the uniqueness. Happy purchase!

What is your opinion of the quality of this item? This is the second Conklin Crescent that I have owned; I misplaced my firt one, much to my displeasure. Then pen writes smoothly and fills easily. I particularly like it as it only fills from bottles, thus obviating the need for messing about with converters and wasteful cartridges. It handles very well in the hand. Very easy to fill. Exceptional value for the money. I use this pen everyday. I own or have owned pens by Mont Blanc, Omas, Parker, Sheaffer, Everlast, Lamy, Pelikan, Conway Stewart, and this pen is every bit their equivalent.

What is your opinion of the quality of this item? The quality is very good. The chasing is very crisp and attractive. The clip is improved from the Conklins of old. Nip has zero flex but is extremely smooth. I have used this pen on a daily basis for months now and there is no sign of any surface flaws. Love the fact that it has a rubber sack in the filling system. The way I hold the pen the crescent filling system can get in the way a bit but that is a classic design feature that defines this pen. If you can live with that because of the nostalgia of this pen then it will be only a slight annoyance.I like the filling system because it uses a rubber sack as opposed to cheap refills or a cheap converter. Slightly difficult to find a slim leather case that will accommodate the crescent but they are out there. It is very easy to fill and the pen is balance pretty well when the cap is posted. It writes like a dream. For a person on a budget it isn't cheap. But for a person new to pens or someone who has been collecting for years, this pen is a solid investment that will last for years. I am very satisfied with this pen. The excellent quality, the gorgeous vintage styling, and new materials all combine for a great package.
