What is your opinion of the quality of this item? This is my fourth Conklin Twain Crescent Filler fountain pen, and each one is a pleasure to use. Being a new pen, all I can judge is the quality of finish, writing and appearance. All are exceptional. My only concern initially was that the ring under the crescent wouldn't budge initially, but finally I managed to loosen it to get the filler to work. This is well worth the price. The red chased finish looks nicer than the photos. I got the fine nib and this is one of the smoothest nibs I have ever used, with even inkflow. The pen has a nice balance and pleasing heft and feel in the hand. I highly recommend this fountain pen: not only is it a bold color, but the pen is an excellent writer, and a worthy addition to a nice line of pens.

What is your opinion of the quality of this item? Very well made with a very nice writing steel nib. Very nice shade of red. Yes. I have several pens of comparable price that are not of the same value, in my opinion. Very nice pen. Makes a nice pair with my black Conklin Mark Twain crescent filler.

What is your opinion of the quality of this item? Have not used the pen yet. However, it arrived with the band on the top unattached; I guess the glue was not effective. Somewhat below. Quality control is poor.

What is your opinion of the quality of this item? the pen feels good in the hand, easy to fill from the bottle. Nib is smooth (fine) and it can handle very small writing as well as a little bit broader depending on your need. Refilling the pen is so easy and is not as messy as other pens that I own (20 pens in total) Extremely easy to refill Awesome value I wish that I had bought this pen a long time ago, I write all day long and it is a real pleasure writing with the two Conklin pens I just purchased
