The colors are bold and clear, the size is sufficiently bold to make writing comfortable, yet not so big as to be hard to handle. This pen writes very smoothly, I have a fine nib. Filling the pen with the supplied fountain pen converter. This pen provides great value. It is well made, writes well, and is unique in its colors and patterns. The pen exceeded my expectations. Sometimes it is hard to really grasp how a pen will feel and perform from a picture in the catalog or web page, this pen is better than the picture.
